A journey into the heart:
Online retreats and resources for spiritual pilgrims.
Hospitality, welcoming guests, is central to Benedictine life. Through the centuries monasteries have offered spiritual and physical support and sanctuary for travellers, seekers and pilgrims, and we continue that tradition. St Benedict sets the standard for welcoming guests high when he says: “All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ.”
Saying that guests are to be met with the “courtesy of love” he goes on to put prayer at the heart of the our hospitality as he tells us: “After the guests have been received they shall be invited to pray… The divine law is read to the guests… And after that every kindness is shown to them.”
Due to the current crisis we are not able to physically welcome guests. So I have started this new venture as another way of extending St Benedict’s welcome of prayer and peace. I hope to offer a variety of resources for online retreats and prayer. Like the mustard seed our beginnings will be small with more materials added as time goes on. I hope that you find the resources helpful to you in seeking God in these challenging times. Start your retreat here
